Fury ..... page three

Terry had worked for a towing company on a part time basis after he quit working off shore when we found out I was pregnant. Bobby called this company and told them that they needed two wreckers at the V.A. Center. Supposedly one car got stuck down by the water and then another got stuck trying to pull the other out.  So they sent two wreckers to the location. No cars to be found. But there just happened to be a teenage boy that seemed to know about the call and that they were to check with security before they were to do anything on the grounds. And when other Staff showed up to see what was going on the teenage boy disappeared.

It wasn't until later that day that we found out about this one.  The owner of the company just happen to know that I worked for the V.A. and called Terry about it. Hoping that I could give them a hand with all this. Terry got the details and then drove to where I worked. We walked all along the water side of the property and there were no cars to be found.

Later that evening Terry sat down and asked him about it. Bobby denied knowing anything about it. Well Terry thought of a good plan.  He told Bobby that the phone conversation had been recorded and that we could go to the office and listen to the tape and see if it was his voice.  That was all it took for Bobby, he knew he had been caught. So he spilled the whole story. He had gotten bored,  and thought it would be neat to call the wreckers out. Little did he know that by doing that the company lost out on several other runs. The total dollar amount for this moment of boredom .... \$300.00.  Which we were going to have to pay. But after the owner thought about it for a few days he told us to just forget it, but beat that kid's ass for him.

The next day I told him that due to the mess he created that now he could not be trusted again. He had been warned, one screw up and the volunteering was history. And I stuck to it. No way was I going to put my job in jeopardy for some joke he had to play.

On April 1st, I had a ultrasound done at the doctor's office. They were concerned cause I wasn't putting on the weight that I needed.  When we got into the room and was all set. They let Terry and Bobby come into the room to watch.

We got to see it all. Our little bundle looked beautiful. And rolled in all the directions so we could see just what we were getting.  The technician asked if we wanted to know the sex of the baby. And all three of us said Yes at the same time.  She went on to tell us that it was a girl.  I can almost remember the look of disappointment on Terry's face. I asked him what was wrong. And he tells me that "I guess I can't buy her a train set". I told him, just because she is a girl doesn't mean she can't have a train set.

Well that was all it took for him. Next thing you know he is telling everyone we talked to that he was going to have a little girl.  It was so sweet. The King now had a Princess. I couldn't have been more spoiled from that moment on.

In May of 97 we found us a nice little two bedroom apartment. We were thrilled. The apartment that we got was on the first floor on the corner of the building. The carpet was pretty new, and they had steam cleaned it. It didn't take us long to get into it and have everything settled.
