I never thought it would happen.
Things I have kept locked away.
Away all safe and hidden.
From lifetimes of the past.
For no one to find.

Somewhere you have found the
key, that unlocks the gate.
Sneaking into my thoughts,
my dreams, and fantasies.

When you found me, in this lifetime.
You are able to look past the damage
that has been done by the past.
To find the soul that you met
many lifetimes ago.

If only for a moment in time.
To be held by your arms again.
To be able to turn the hands of time back.

Where time doesn't matter.
Where there are no consequences.
Where there would be no pain or hurt.

Things have always come to me
in a difficult way.
Never at the right time,
or the right place.
Always with strings attached,
or mountains in my way.

Some say that is what makes me strong.
This is the way to perfection of the soul.
The way you earn your wings.

I'm so afraid to love you.
One day someone else will
find exactly what I have.
And you will be gone.
