The
move went easy. Didn't take long for we put most of everything into
a storage unit. We only took what we needed on a daily basis. We
also hoped that a change of scenery would take some of the power out of
Bobby. Being in a area that he didn't know, we didn't think he would wander
too far.
We had
started playing bingo once a month. Usually we went on the evenings when
Bobby was with Tim. But one night plans had changed, and we decided to
let him go with us. He was allowed to mark a card but was not allowed
to claim any prizes. So we thought that we would split any winnings with
him by if chance he had a winning card. Beginners luck must have
been on his side that night. He hit a bingo for \$150.00. He was so
excited. And so were we. We let him buy a pair of roller blades.
There was a roller rink just down the road from Candy's house.
We went
with him for the first few times that he went. Then we started just
dropping him off. This was great, he wasn't getting into any trouble. The
roller skating was good cheap entertainment for him. Well it didn't last
long. He was soon kicked out of the roller rink for stealing and fighting.
One evening
he wanted to go skating. We reminded him that he wasn't allowed at the
rink anymore. That started the episode. He said he didn't give
a shit. And he wanted to go skating and that was all he knew. Nothing
we said did any good. He stomped out the door with roller skates
in hand. We followed him out the door, and Terry made a grab for the skates.
And he told him that he wasn't' going anywhere with that type of attitude.
Bobby
turned around and told all of us to "F*** Off". Terry again told him that
he wasn't going, and Bobby went down the driveway and smacked the hood
of the car with the skates. Well most people know you don't touch a man's
car. Before Terry could get to him, Bobby smacked the car with the skate
a second time. Terry took the skate away from him and Bobby came
after him. Terry tossed the skate in my direction. And told me to lock
them in the trunk. Candy got her keys and we put them in her trunk. Terry
wanted me out of the commotion as much as possible.
As Candy
and I stood there and watched. Bobby went after Terry at full force. Most
of this incident was Bobby swinging his fists at Terry. And Terry keeping
him at arms length. This went on for about twenty minutes. Soon Bobby
stated running out of steam, and Terry hauled him in the house with Bobby
kicking and screaming. soon it was over. Bobby realized that he had lost
this fight.
